TBA What began as a small slo-pitch tournament has become one of Grande Prairie's premiere summer events. Summerslam sees teams from across Alberta and British Columbia come to slug-it-out at the tournament during the day, while some of Canada's biggest bands perform at night. 2006's performers included David Wilcox, Theory of a Deadman, Stabilo, Our Lady Peace, Matt Mayes and El Torpedo and Blue Rodeo. TBA The Annual Grande Prairie Open Tennis Tournament is open to all level of players, it will consist of men's and ladies singles, doubles, mixed doubles in all categories. The cost will be $50 for the first event and $10 for the second event, guaranteed two matches in each event. Consolation rounds in all events.
There will be all sorts of Prizes, refreshments and a barbecue (weather permitting).
